With it’s seemingly gravity-defiant riding style the Solowheel is amongst the most unique approaches to personal transport: it’s an electric unicycle with gyro-sensors to help the rider maintain balance. Steer with your feet, and control your speed by leaning. Lean forward to speed up; lean backward to slow down or stop. Since the wheel was invented thousands of years ago, man has been using it to move over our ever changing landscape. Today, people still wrestle with the ongoing challenge of the most efficient way of getting from place to place. The Solowheel is the latest and simplest version yet.

Solowheel in Paris

The Solowheel was designed to be lightweight and convenient. You can bring it into offices, classrooms, restaurants, buses and subway trains. The built-in carrying handle makes it convenient to quickly pick up the Solowheel when you get to a flight of stairs. With the foot pedals folded up (most models), it takes up no more space than a briefcase when you stow it in your home.

Use the Solowheel to replace a car or even a bike(!!!), for short distances. This reduces fuel costs, pollution, and traffic. Riders with short commutes can travel to work or school on the Solowheel, charge the unit in the office or classroom, and ride back home. It’s especially fun rolling around Canary Wharf!
